Part 1 – Faith to Win Souls

How can we share the Gospel more effectively?

1. Attitudes

* Be an enthusiastic person. Remember the illustration of giving away $1m to a friend. It is truly good news.

* Choose to witness for Christ even though you are going through difficult times in life.

* Believe that people do want to get saved. Satan will lie to us but the Bible says that the harvest is plentiful.

* Don’t believe Satan’s lie that if I witness people don’t want to be around me. Jesus drew crowds.


2. Skills

* Give people sincere encouragements and compliments

* Talk about Jesus until you sense a resistance then change topic to talk about subjects the like and switch back again.


Part 2 – The Da Vinci Code



Two Application Points:

* Pray for Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code, to come to know Christ. Pray that he will be like the apostle Paul who started with persecuting Christians and ended being martyred for the Gospel.

* Be grounded in the Word of God. Study it. Attend WFL and Hope Seminary Courses.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:1-4 (NIV)
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 1 Timothy 4:1 (NIV)

Dear Hope Church (S) family,

This weekend we begin pre-Easter services. Have you invited anyone to come with you yet?

At our Easter services in the last five years more than 1,000 people opened their lives to Christ - because YOU invited them! It's almost guaranteed that if you bring those you care about to an Easter service, they will come to know Christ.

This Easter weekend, we will be speaking on "Experience Easter." It is a message of encouragement to show how God, through Easter, gives us a chance to start over and enjoy a new relationship with him.

Who of your relatives, class-mates, and co-workers do you want to see come to Christ this Easter? People are more likely to be open to your invitation at Easter than at any regular weekend. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to invite them to one of our church services!

Here's how you can play you part at Easter:

1. Ask God to show you who to invite.

2. Bring a different friend to each of our services! Bring someone each day! Saturday: 12:30, 3, and 5:30 p.m.; Sunday: 9, 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

3. Bring someone to our Good Friday service (Fri 7:30 pm). This is run by our Filipino team in Nexus.

4. Check out Easter for kids at http://www.hopesingapore.org.sg/hopekids/

5. Pray that hundreds will commit their lives to Christ this Easter.

6. Greet everyone around you. There will be a lot of first-time visitors. Please help them with directions.

7. PLEASE walk down the aisle with your guest as the preacher gives the altar call - so visitors feel comfortable doing it too.

We are planning great services this Easter. I am SO excited about it! The worship we've planned is incredible! Thanks for your prayers. It's going to be an amazing weekend! I love you so much and am so grateful to be your pastor.

Dear Bro and Sis,

Easter is just less than 2weeks (12days) away. WOW, it is so Excited!!!
I am excited cos it is a Great opportunity to see the lost souls receiving Jesus as the LORD & Saviour
and eternally being saved. Imagine our friends, our close ones and colleague turning to Jesus...
Indeed, it is 'Not by might' but by the Holy Spirit to do impossible work as we do our very best.

Within these 2 Weeks, (4/4 -16/4)
Let enter a journey of F A S T

1) F: Fast a meal per day. (Focus and rely on the power of Holy Spirit)
2) A: Ask God (Pray for the names in our Easter prayers card, our bro &sis, personal breakthru)
3) S: Sign up for Adult Church Camp. (Pls sign up this sunday,as the workshop is first come, first serve)
4) T: Together. (YOU ARE IMPORTANT, together we can do it, Amen)

TOGETHER, WE WILL SEE BREKTHROUGH

This sunday church Service will have 50min P&W and 30min message.
we can invite our friends, NS and ... .. to our Easter Service.

Matthew CG

Dear all,

As Easter Outreach is just next week, we will not be having Unit CG this
week.

Instead, we will be having Matthew CG, so that we can use this oppotunity
to invite our friends for Easter Service and CG.

We will be having Cycling at East Coast this Saturday.
Date: 8/4/06
Meeting Place: 3pm @ East Coast MacDonalds

After that, we will go have dinner together at the hawker nearby.

We will also be having Evangelistic Service for this Sunday.
Theme: Experiecing God
It will be very different from the normal service, as we will be having P&W
for 50mins in service for the first time and preaching for 30mins.

Now is really the time that the non believers are strangely open to the
gospel. I really encourage all of us to invite our friends, so they they
too can experience the love of Christ and to be saved in the Kingdom of God.

Let us be people who are outward looking and having the eternity
perspective in mind, that all the troubles we may be facing now are just
temporal and momentary. However, our friends will be lost for eternity if
we fail to share Christ with them.
